Are You Out Of Balance?

Is your life out of balance? When was the last time you took stock of the important things in your life? Have you EVER taken stock?

If not, let me explain why you should!

When you collect too many things, your life suddenly gets cramped and you find yourself with less space for new and better things.

When I realized this, I took stock of my life! I gathered my mental, emotional and physical "stuff" and released those things that were holding me back. By releasing these things I allowed myself to receive!

~~~ I released my job! ~~~
~~~ I released people! ~~~
~~~ I released memories!~~~
Notice I didn't use the words "I LOST"! When you lose something you're expecting it's return!
NOPE!
NO THANK YOU!
DON'T NEED THEM AND DON'T WANT THEM!
Now, I'm fortunate to work my MLM business (Max Gxl) from home. This new flexibility allowed me to capture my second daughters first "official" basket.
Check it out!
BUT BACK TO YOU!
You must take stock of what is in your life, what is important in your life, then balance your life. If you can't make "the games" or "the practices", what message are you sending to your children? If you are constantly on the phone and telling your little ones...
"Wait! In a Second! Not now!"
they will interpret that your work is more important because that's the message you have sent!
YOUR ACTIONS! YOUR WORDS! YOUR TONE!
So, decide what comes first, declare success, and take action!
BALANCE YOUR LIFE!
Mom With Broken Ankle Continues To Make Money
It was my daughters 12th birthday and she wanted to celebrate with a few friends at a local skating rink. When we arrived, we traded our shoes for rentals and with a quickness, the girls were gone. I could see their happy smiles every time they came by the edge of the rink and could hear them giggling as they swung each other to go faster.
After a few laps, the girls invited me to skate with them.
I already had my skates on so I said, what the heck! Why not! I called for my daughter and off we went.
We even video taped each other while we skated to capture the moment!
After a couple of hours, the DJ invited everyone to play "Red Light, Green Light". I thought to myself, I could do this! I've only fallen once! Not bad considering I was my daughters age last time I was on roller-skates.
The first green light came on... then the red. Everyone fell to the floor! (Apparently that's how the young kids "stop" for the game.) It looked painful, so I decided to stay standing. Although I had a hard time stopping, I managed!
The second green light came on a few seconds longer....then the red.
I TRIED TO STOP... BUT I COULDN'T!
Suddenly, it was as if everything moved in slow motion and then the silence kicked in. I felt my right foot continue to slide behind me, twist, and that's when I lost my balance. I fell on my bottom which was cushioned by my right ankle! Or was it cushioned?
The silence was broken when I heard the SNAP...then the POP!
I immediately felt my foot turn numb and saw it dangle from the ankle when I tried to stand on it!
OH~~~ THE PAIN!
I stayed down and I scooted off the rink to a safe corner and called for help.
My husband rushed me to emergency and we soon found out I had 3 different brakes in my right leg...all at the ankle area. After a four hour stay, my bones were set and although I needed surgery, it had to wait due to the massive swelling. It was put on hold indefinitely.
In the meantime, elevate, elevate, and no weight! It took three weeks for the swelling to go down just enough to move forward with surgery. Nine screws and a plate later, it was another 6 weeks of more elevation, elevation and no weight!
Two weeks ago I was given the green light (no pun intended) to attend physical therapy 1-2 times a week for 4-6 weeks.
Now, can you imagine if I had a JOB?
I've been out of commission for 9 weeks and NOW I had to attend physical therapy. Let's see, that's about 15 weeks at less than a 100%.
NO WAY could I get myself ready, 3 kids ready and drive to work in traffic (I couldn't use my driving foot, it was broken or healing), all before 8:00am! I would have to use up all my sick and vacation time, and possibly loose my job!
Who am I kidding!
Of course I would loose my job!
My job would not be guaranteed upon my return. This was not a workers comp case. I hurt myself on my time! And face it, during these economic hardships, the company would just replace me or delegate my responsibility to others thus realizing my job was never necessary!
Ah, but wait!
Here's the beautiful part! I work from home! I had the choice and made the choice to take time off from my home business to take care of myself. Isn't that beautiful! I don't report to a boss or worry about employees. I don't put any undue stress on myself for "missing" work.
I'm not an employee!
Bottom line is although unemployment is at its highest, you have 3 choices. 1) You can be a victim, blame everyone for your hardships and declare bankruptcy. 2) You can struggle, get a job and fall back to what is familiar but not enjoyable. Or 3) commit yourself to a home based business, set goals and map out a plan to succeed!
Your goals must be a decision and they must have meaning, otherwise they're simply a wish. I have a vision, not a job!
I love working from home giving me more time with my family and friends!
Looking back now, I see my skating accident as an affirmation to take control of my life and start living! No longer am I willing to trade my time for money!
I'm proud to be a stay at home mom with a successful home based business who values my time.
I Just Turned Down A Marriage Proposal!
I heard "Will you marry me?" and basically fell off my chair! I grinned from ear to ear and felt my hair stand!
"YES!" was my first reaction.
Then... it was as if time stood still and flashes of my life rolled through. My children, my husband, my family, my future!
I was watching a movie of my life. The laughter, the joy, and the pain all in one.
I stopped and looked at the person and said, "I'm sorry, but my answer is no!"
So, who asked me?
It was the person in the mirror! I asked myself! That may sound silly to some, but think about it...
Would you marry yourself?
What qualities and attributes do you bring to the table? What do you have to offer the other person? What does the other individual have that attracts you? What securities or insecurities are attached to you? Do you know your strengths and weaknesses?
Would you want someone exactly like you?
Some of you may say, "Absolutely!" While others may say, "Absolutely NOT!"
Well, my reaction was somewhere in the middle, but ultimately it was no! I'm intelligent, educated, strong, loyal, hardworking, passionate, loving, honest, fun, friendly, and many more.
However, I also possess weaknesses. I am argumentative, stubborn, unorganized, shy, and at times I can say and do some pretty mean things.
Now, that's me on me!
My husband, on the other hand, has a totally different perspective. He fell in love with ME! Not someone he wanted me to be! Not someone he could change!
Just me!
Do opposites attract? I would say yes! Do likes attract? I would say yes!
Are first impressions important? Can you change first impressions? Yeah, you could! But is it worth the extra work?
I've learned that someones perspective or impression is "their" truth. It may not be accurate, but it's theirs to hold. It's up to you (if you want) to change if it's wrong, or to hold onto it, if it's right!
Bottom line: Although I wouldn't marry myself, I love myself! It is because of this self-love and worth that I strive to succeed in life. I surround myself and my loved ones with positive energy!
You've heard it before: You can't give away what you don't have! So, become someone of wealth and someone to love! What wealth is, is up to you! And as for love, well, that's yours to decided, too! Only you can answer these questions. There is no right and there is no wrong.
I will continue to grow, learn and mature. I read, I laugh, I cry. I celebrate, I pray, I understand! I help, I honor, I obey... and I LOVE!!
I can say with confidence, I'm not the same person my husband married 16 plus years ago...but I'm definitely better!
